Despite being nowhere nearly as accepted as gas run or even hybrid cars, with environmental concerns and doubtful oil reserves, the upcoming era surely appears to be electric. Governments all over the globe are funding research and development of electric cars with aims of substantially more usage within the next ten years or so.

THE Spanish government has announced that electric car buyers will receive extensive subsidies as part of a pilot scheme to boost sales. The scheme will mean the government subsidising some 20 per cent of the cost of any electric cars, or motorbikes, bought this year. In short, potential buyers will receive a subsidy ranging from 750 to 7000 euros. While, subsidies of up to 20,000 euros will be available for the purchase of trucks and buses.

Bass is an significant part of music, it’s always been that way for both the music of yesterday and the modern music of today. Whether it’s the big bowed orchestral bass, the huge bass pipes of a cathedral organ or the ultra low warm sound of a vintage synth bass, the bass line serves as a root and foundation for most music. Music would sound hollow and incomplete without a driving bass line. With styles of popular music changing and evolving, plus the increasing demands of the working musician for portability, playability and loud volume, there was a strong need for a new type of bass instrument.
